First Half: Toreros Up Five

The first half has just ended, and things aren’t looking too good for the Huskies, as they are down, 34-29, to No. 13 seed San Diego.
After A.J. Price went down early in the half with what is being called a sprained left knee, UConn has struggled to generate the offense to counter the sharp-shooting Toreros.
Despite a significant size advantage, the Huskies have been dominated in the post by Gyno Pomare. Standing just 6-foot-8, the forward has battled with Hasheem Thabeet all game and appears to be winning. He leads all scorers at the break with 14 points.
